Play Buddies Campaign was created for a specific community in Charlotte. This campaign was aimed to inspire, inform, and motivate pediatric patients to stay positive by making interactive game posters, an animation, and an app with multiple functions that help with mental health. By designing 3 different mediums, it creates a fun variety of options for the patients to directly engage with each product and also work with friends, family, and nurses.

Interactive Activity Posters
The interactive posters consist of adjustable activities that help fight mental health and are designed using the brands’ characters. The purpose of these posters is to be physically used and then placed in the hospital room for children to continue using. The hospital would provide this product along with extra pads of worksheets so that the patient can switch out the old worksheet for a new one. Making a physical object allows the patient to be able to work with others.

Animation
The animation is designed in a way where the storyline is relatable and kid-friendly. Not only are the brands’ characters portrayed in the video, but it uses the activity poster as a recognizable object to remind the patients that they could use it with others to build up their mood.

Play Buddies App
This app is designed to customize your avatar, speak with your personal therapist, call the nurse for help, play mini-games, unlock free items, and use other resource links to benefit mental health. Playing the mini-games helps them earn in-game currency, known as heart points. Using these heart points they can unlock customizable features for their avatar but also unlock the latest versions of the activity posters. If they go to the Resources tab, the link for the youtube channel that shows the animation is there, as well as links to learn more about mental health and why it matters.
